Brexit - Au Pairs & Nannies

As of 1 January 2021, The UK left the European Union and as a result, free movement has ended.

We are now only able to place candidates who are:

• British & British Overseas Nationals

• EU Nationals with UK pre-settled status https://www.gov.uk/settled-status-eu-citizens

• T5 Youth Mobility Visa Holders (E.g. Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Canada) https://www.gov.uk/youth-mobility

• UK Ancestry Visa Holders https://www.gov.uk/ancestry-visa

• T4 Student Visa Holders (if the visa clearly states that work is indeed allowed. Typically hours are limited to 20 hours per week). https://www.gov.uk/student-visa

• Skilled Worker Visa Holders https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa or Domestic Workers in a Private Household Visa Holders https://www.gov.uk/domestic-workers-in-a-private-household-visa

We certainly hope that the government will work towards including an easy and simple way for young people from Europe to continue benefiting from the au pair programme in the near future.
